CONTACT: AARON@AARONLAM.COM

Hi. My name is Aaron Lam.

I'm a film and television writer and producer in Los Angeles. Most recently, I created and Executive Produced the Netflix animated series Mech Cadets. I was also a Writer/Producer on Season 4 of Amazon's Jack Ryan and Starz's Ash vs Evil Dead

I've always been fascinated with photography. Inherited through my parents love for travel, it was my first creative outlet-- a medium that combined the artistic abilities of the human eye and the technicalities of physics. And while I originally created this site when I was working as a professional dog photographer, it now mainly exists for the enjoyment of my mother and my eight year old niece.

But if you're here... I hope you enjoy the photos too!

STORY

Aaron Lam, a son of Chinese immigrants, studied engineering before moving to Los Angeles from Florida to chase a dream. A mediocre snowboarder, avid photographer and professional dog lover, it was his unlikely experience working for a family as a nanny that would lead him to where he is now.

Lam got his first big break working as director Sam Raimi’s assistant on Spider-Man 3 where he was involved from the movie’s conceit through its production as well as genre features that Raimi was producing (The Grudge 2, The Messengers and 30 Days of Night). For Lam, those years were film school.

After the movie’s release, Lam segued to Raimi’s production company, Ghost House Pictures, where he produced a trio of digital series (30 Days of Night: Dark Days, The Resistance and Zombie Roadkill). On the television side, Lam was a producer on Legend of the Seeker for ABC Studios and Spartacus for Starz.

But it wasn’t until 2016 before Lam rekindled his original Hollywood dream: to write.

After helping develop and launch the series Ash vs Evil Dead, based on Raimi’s cult classic film, Lam went on to freelance write an episode from which he was offered a writing position.

Lam has since staffed on the John Wick spin-off series The Continental for Starz/Lionsgate and Jack Ryan for Amazon/Paramount TV.

Currently, Lam is the head writer and an Executive Producer on the Netflix animated series Mech Cadets, which he created. And a writer and Co-Executive Producer on Netflix’s The Magic Order series.
