The clips detach from one side to allow the entire bag to still clamshell open. The detachable tri-guards let me remove the whole thing in seconds.

The whole project costs about $25. Going to Tahoe in 2 weeks and will test it out.

Welcome any suggestions to making this better! Normally love the cleanness of my GoRuck GR1 but also like this addition when needed. Definitely won’t be on there permanently. The leg pouch has a nice pocket for gloves, extra goggle lenses and small stuff. Duplicated the heat shrink paracord.

Problem: I was sick of my helmet dangling and knocking things around the airport and hotel when I traveled to go snowboarding from just being carabinered to my GoRuck GR1.
