One problem with the Field Pack, especially when moving through airports (when that becomes a thing again!) is that you have to unclasp the Cobra Buckle to get into the pockets of the Folio.

I’ve always loved vertical pockets on the outside and one reason I enjoyed the Evergoods bag. But since I have an R6, I don’t have extra rails up front. Now, I understand why you would want to get an R8. But this works.

I thought I could use the Mission Workshop Vertical Zippered Pocket and adapt it to attach up front.

<img decoding="async" class="aligncenter" src="/misc/mission-workshop/MW-Arkiv_019.jpg" alt="" ">

I used hard molle straps that I think I got at a surplus store to hold a Rolltop and Zippered Pouches together.
