So Evelyn was in town and we wanted to deviate from our traditional Sanuki No Sato standard (well… we went there on Friday) and try a new place! How adventurous. And adventurous it was. After reading numerous good reviews, we headed to the Redondo Beach Pier to Izakaya Bincho. The place was tiny, no signs… you’d easily miss it. There are 4 tables and about 8 seats at the bar… good thing we called for a reservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Service was decent although calling the nice waiter soft spoken would be a gross understatement. It was like a skit from Seinfeld. But we got our food ordered and it came in slow procession. Everything in general was very good… a bit on the salty side at times. But man was the Pier sketchy. Just packed with hoodlums. The owner\/cook was even accosted by a drunkard but good for the owner for refusing service. I think we’ll stay away until they move locations which we heard was rumored when their lease runs out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
