Got to take a cruise with Laura’s family to Alaska. By far the highlight of the trip was the helicopter ride to the glacier in Juneau and then dog sledding. Once in a lifetime experience worth every penny. The dogs were wonderful… smaller than you’d think… but some of the friendliest most energetic guys you’ve ever seen. They really lived to pull the sled.

And here is the slideshow from the entire trip:
I’m really digging your photo blog. What camera (lens/body/etc) set up did you use in Alaska? Your photography is really good. Lighting, subject, composition, all of it just play out so well.
Thanks,
Thanks… I really appreciate the kind words. I shoot with a Canon 1DsIII. It’s a great camera and been really happy with it for the last 4-5 years. Most of my dog shots are with the 24LII. I like the perspective of that with the dogs. It’s a lot of running around chasing them but great fun. Travel wise… 16-35mm is pretty much a huge amount of it. I rarely shoot longer than 50mm.
I’ve got more stuff at http://www.aaronlam.com. Happy to look up equipment info for any specific picture.
