I was spending some of my quarantine time tinkering with my Mission Workshop Arkiv Field Pack. One problem with the Field Pack, especially when moving through airports (when that becomes a thing again!) is that you have to unclasp the Cobra Buckle to get into the pockets of the Folio.
I’ve always loved vertical pockets on the outside and one reason I enjoyed the Evergoods bag. But since I have an R6, I don’t have extra rails up front. Now, I understand why you would want to get an R8. But this works.
I thought I could use the Mission Workshop Vertical Zippered Pocket and adapt it to attach up front.
I used hard molle straps that I think I got at a surplus store to hold a Rolltop and Zippered Pouches together. The elastic loop in the middle is held on an Arkiv Clip and you can thread the main strap through it to keep it from hitting the ground — I have one of these on the Folio as well.
Excited to test this out!
You can hardly tell. I really like the low-profile and integration.
